statutory agent. (His state uses "statutory" to stress that
registered agency is required by law.)

provides other corporate and legal services. Among them are trademarks

Some
summary facts you should know about a registered agent in Washington:
"registered
agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent"
are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company
to receive documents and notices. (Since the three terms all refer
to a Resident
of the state acting as an AGENT,
we have coined the term "ragent" to include them
all).
Your Washington
registered agent may be (1) a domestic company formed under Washington
corporate law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business
in Washington or (3) an adult individual who resides in Washington.
Because the State of Washington permits "organizations registered
by the State to do business in Washington," an LLC may serve
as a registered agent.
It is important
to note that a Washington registered agent must have a Washington
street address rather than a post office box and that the registered
agent must sign a consent to be registered agent and file it
with the Washington Secretary of State. (Some other states use "resident
agent" to stress the statutory importance of a physical address
in the state.)
