VERMONT RESIDENT AGENT

and REGISTERED OFFICE

E-mail our Vermont resident agent (a registered agent), order online or call us at 1-800-669-9805 for further information. When you do we can arrange registered agency either immediately or effective upon expiration of your current registered agent's period of service.

Whatever your choice, you can expect our Vermont registered agent to provide quality service at a very reasonable price: $99 per year. Perhaps you are paying more than $99. If so, please consider that you can still comply with with Vermont laws requiring an agent and a registered office; and you can comply without overpaying or sacrificing quality and dependability. You will still receive the essential service you need.

Consider that was founded by a veteran corporate lawyer experienced in the service of process and forming all types of corporate entities. Consider that has matured into a network of practicing lawyers throughout the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and DC.

provides dependable registered agent, statutory agent, and resident agent service everywhere, plus other corporate and legal services, e.g. trademarks and service marks. Should you need a quit claim deed in The Green Mountain State, our Vermont lawyer can help you out. Such a service is not, of course, included in the $99.

Some facts you should know about a registered agent in Vermont:

"registered agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent" are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company to receive documents and notices. (Since the three terms all refer to a Resident of the state acting as an AGENT, we have coined the term "ragent" to include them all).

Your Vermont registered agent may be (1) a domestic company formed under Vermont corporate law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in Vermont or (3) an adult individual who resides in Vermont. We do not recommend an amateur for the role of registered agent.

It is important to note that a Vermont registered agent must have a Vermont street address rather than a post office box and that the registered agent must sign a consent to be registered agent and file it with the Vermont Secretary of State.

APPOINTING A NEW VERMONT REGISTERED AGENT

We welcome newly-formed companies, as well as expanding companies previously formed who presently have an overpriced resident agent, or a registered agent whose quality and dependability may be open to question.

If you are forming a new company yourself (or qualifying your company to do business in a new state yourself) and are interested in our registered agent services, just check the first box when you order online. (If you want legal assistance in the formation or qualification process, you may want to contact 4inc.com, which is also affiliated with the Inc.Link® network of corporate professionals.)

If you are an existing company and desire to change your registered agent in The Green Mountain State, you may do so at any time by completing a Vermont change of registered agent form and submitting it to the Vermont Secretary of State.

When you order online, we take care of filling out this form and sending it to you for signature. Upon its return (signed) to us we will take care of filing. We will also pay the fee which must be paid to the Vermont Secretary of State to make the change.

You may prefer to sign the form first and send it to us so that we can then complete and file your change with the Vermont Secretary of State --- along with the filing fee. The change of Vermont registered agent form for corporations and LLC's can be found at http://www.sec.state.vt.us/corps/forms/agentchg.htm.

Just sign it and send it to us and we will take care of the rest.

If your present agent is prepaid for a period of time, you can instruct us not to make the change until that period of time has expired.

Thanks for consulting our web site.
