E-mail our Massachusetts resident agent (registered agent), order
online or call us at 1-800-669-9805 for further information. We
can start your service either immediately or effective upon expiration
of your current registered agent's period of service.
You should expect our Massachusetts registered
agent to provide quality service at the reasonable price of $99 per
year. If you are paying more than $99, say $150 or more, be assured
that you can comply with Massachusetts
laws requiring a real person in a registered office for less.
Ask yourself if you are receiving quality
and dependability and then choose.

If you happen to have requirements specific to a state, e.g. tax law,
an attorney in our network can help you in that state. If you need
an agent in the Virgin Islands or Nassau, we'll look into it.
Some
facts you should know about a registered agent in Massachusetts:
"registered
agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent"
are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company
to receive documents and notices. (Since the three terms all refer
to a Resident
of the state acting as an AGENT,
we have coined the term "ragent" to include them
all).
Your Massachusetts
"ragent" may be (1) a domestic company formed under Massachusetts
corporate law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business
in Massachusetts or (3) an adult individual who resides in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts does permit a limited liability company, whether formed
in Massachusetts or qualified to do business in Massachusetts, to
act as a registered agent in The Bay State.
It is important
to note that a Massachusetts registered agent must have a Massachusetts
street address rather than a post office box and that the registered
agent must sign a consent to be registered agent and file it
with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
APPOINTING
A NEW MASSACHUSETTS REGISTERED AGENT
We welcome newly
formed companies, as well as established companies who presently have
an overpriced resident agent, or a registered agent whose quality
and dependability do not meet expectations.
If you are forming
a new company yourself (or qualifying your company to do business
in a new state yourself) and are interested in our registered agent
services, just check the first box when you order
online. (If you want legal assistance in the formation or qualification
process, you may want to contact 4inc.com,
which is also affiliated with the Inc.Link®
network of corporate professionals.)
If you desire to
change your registered agent in Massachusetts, you may do so at any
time by completing a change of Massachusetts registered agent form

When you order
online, we handle filling out this form and sending it to you
for signature. Upon its return (signed) to us we will take care of
filing this form.
If you would prefer
to sign the form first and send it to us so that we may complete it
and file it with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth,
the form for a corporation may be found at http://www.sec.state.ma.us/cor/corpdf/c156ds502s1508950c11321.pdf.
Just sign it and get it to us and we will take care of the rest.
To change a registered
agent for an LLC you may file an amendment ($100.00 fee), or when
you file the annual report ($500.00) you may make the change then
as well. CMR's (Commonwealth of Massachusetts Regulations) can be
obtained at http://www.lawlib.state.ma.us/source/mass/cmr/index.html.
If your present
agent is prepaid for a period of time, you can instruct us not to
make the change until that period of time has expired.
