RESIDENT AGENT

and REGISTERED OFFICE

E-mail our District of Columbia resident agent (registered agent), order online or call us at 1-800-669-9805. We can arrange for immediate service or we can begin service when your current agent's term ceases.

Whatever your choice, you can expect our DC registered agent to provide high quality service at a reasonable price: $99 per year. If you are paying more or getting less, you should ask yourself if you are receiving the quality of service you would like. In your assessment know that you con comply with District of Columbia laws requiring an agent and a registered office without overpaying. You will not sacrifice quality and dependability.

began as the project of an experienced lawyer and statutory agent(same as a registered agent). The project developed into a network of practicing lawyers in all fifty states.

provides dependable registered agent, statutory agent, and resident agent service plus other corporate and legal services. Included in them are trademarks and service marks. If you ever decide to expand into Canada, we can help you setup an extra-provincial corporation.

Here are some facts you should know about a registered agent in the District of Columbia:

"registered agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent" are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company to receive documents and notices. (Since the three terms all refer to a Resident of the state acting as an AGENT, we have coined the term "ragent" to include them all).

Your DC registered agent may be (1) a domestic company formed under District of Columbia corporate law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in DC or (3) an adult individual who resides in the District of Columbia.

It is important to note that a District of Columbia registered agent must have a District of Columbia street address rather than a post office box and that the registered agent must sign a consent to be registered agent and file it with the District of Columbia Dept. of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs (DCRA). This residency requirement accounts for the term "resident agent" in some jurisdictions. The term "statutory agent" stresses this legislated mandate in some states.
