Expect our Colorado registered agent to provide
quality service at a reasonable price: $99 per year. If you have searched
the Internet, you have l concluded that our price falls between the
cheap and more than twice our amount; in other words at a fair price
point. We've been around long enough to know that the service of process
while extremely important is a straightforward matter and demands
no frills. If you are paying more or getting less, you can now comply
with Colorado laws requiring
an agent and a registered office without overpaying or sacrificing
quality and dependability.
,
founded by a veteran corporate lawyer in neighboring Arizona, has
evolved into a network of practicing lawyers in the various states
and DC. We provide dependable registered agent, statutory agent, and
resident agent service everywhere, plus other corporate and legal
services, notably trademarks. We can assist you in setting up an extra-provincial
corporation in any of the ten provinces of Canada.
Here are some
facts you should know about a registered agent in Colorado:
"registered
agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent"
are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company
to receive documents and notices. (Since the three terms all refer
to a Resident
of the state acting as an AGENT,
we have coined the term "ragent" to include them
all).
Your Colorado "ragent"
must be either (1) a domestic company formed under Colorado corporate
law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in Colorado
or (3) an adult individual who resides in Colorado. Colorado does
permit a limited liability company, whether formed in Colorado or
qualified to do business in Colorado, to act as a registered agent
in Colorado. We have formed LawyerAgents, LLC, in Colorado for this
purpose.
It is important
to note that a Colorado registered agent must have a Colorado street
address rather than a post office box and that the registered
agent must sign a consent to be registered agent and file it
with the Colorado Secretary of State.
APPOINTING
A NEW COLORADO REGISTERED AGENT
We welcome startup
companies, as well as companies previously formed who presently have
an overpriced resident agent, or a registered agent whose quality
and dependability may be open to question. We welcome multiple setups
as well and believe our price is even more attractive in this situation.
If you are forming
a new company yourself (or qualifying your company to do business
in a new state yourself) and are interested in our registered agent
services, just check the first box when you order
online. (If you want legal assistance in the formation or qualification
process, you may want to contact 4inc.com,
which is also affiliated with the Inc.Link®
network of corporate professionals.)
If you are an existing
company which desires to change its registered agent in Colorado,
you may do so at any time by completing a change of Colorado registered
agent form and submitting it to the Colorado Secretary of State.
When you order
online, we take care of filling out this form and sending it to
you for signature. Upon its return (signed) to us we will take care
of filing this form, and we will also pay the change fee to the Colorado
Secretary of State.
If you would prefer
to sign the form first and send it to us so that we may complete it
and file it with the Colorado Secretary of State, along with the filing
fee, the change of Colorado registered agent form can be found at
http://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/business/PDFFillable/CHANGE.pdf.
Just sign it and get it to us and we will take care of the rest.
If your present
agent is prepaid for a period of time, you can instruct us not to
make the change until that period of time has expired.
