"Registered agent," "statutory agent" and "resident agent" are three names for the same thing: an agent authorized by a company to receive documents and notices. Your California "ragent" must be either (1) a domestic company formed under California corporate law (2) a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in California or (3) an adult individual who resides in California.
